ABOUT ME

I trained as a singer and sustained a freelance operatic career in the UK before transitioning to full-time audio and video production in 2020 (yup, the pandemic played a part, though I’d already been recording professionally for 8 years by then). I’ve built a reputation for producing excellent performance videos and audition tapes for the UK’s classical singer community, which has led to regular work with the likes of the Royal Ballet & Opera, English National Opera, Garsington Opera, English Touring Opera, SWAP’ra, as well as substantial one-off projects in the age of lockdown such as VOPERA’s award-winning L'enfant et les sortilèges or Opera’r Ddraig’s Bhekizizwe. I also co-founded and co-run London Recording Days - a collective of freelancers providing drop-in recording days for classical singers.

I produce audition tapes and video demos for 250-300 singers each year, as well as commercial recordings of classical chamber music. I have delivered workshops (on the basics of recording, but also the art of being recorded) for the Royal Academy of Music, Queen Sonja Opera Academy, and the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.

When you record with me you not only get an experienced producer and engineer, but also someone who's been where you are. The microphone can be an intimidating presence in a room, but I'm there to get you not only sounding your best, but giving a performance that’s true to your vision. I aim to make the whole recording process as enjoyable for you as the results will be for your listeners.
