Spearheaded by Gary Matthewman, Brunswick Vocal Arts was founded in 2022 to support exceptionally talented classical singers in the final stages of their studies and the crucial early stages of their careers. The company puts on concert performances which give singers an all-too-rare opportunity to sing with an orchestra. Most of these concerts focus on a single opera and the soloists receive extensive role preparation sessions with Gary. Basically, the singer gets coached on a role and then has the opportunity to perform it with orchestra in central London. The cherry on top is that the performance is recorded and the resulting videos are available for the soloists to use freely for promotional purposes. I’ve been lucky enough to be their chosen recordist and the video below is an example of the excellent work Gary and Brunswick Vocal Arts do, as well as a taster of what you can expect from a concert recording with me.
