I’ll Fly Away is the debut album of the Prison Choir Project. Recorded in the chapel Dartmoor Prison over a couple of days, I cannot put into words how emotional the music-making we captured is. The raw, heartfelt sound of the inmates’ singing combined with the musicianship of the band of session players brought both smiles and tears as I captured the performances and also when I mixed and mastered the final album. And the best thing about it is that you can find it on all good streaming services to experience these incredible renditions of well-known classic songs yourself!
